Bands & Artists : Havana Allies

havana-allies writes"Someone once said that we sound like the heavy parts of Joy Division combined with the softer parts of the Sex Pistols. Others have said we sound like The Undertones, The Pixies, Franz Ferdinand and Kings of Leon. Have a listen and see what you come up with.

Since starting in late 2004, we have shared a stage with such great Aussie bands as The Living End, Little Birdy, Sarah McLeod (ex Superjesus), Dardanelles and The Inches, and international bands Cut Off Your Hands (NZ) and Sabot (Czech Republic). We also played on the Lorne Foreshore during the 2005 "Schoolies" celebrations, and have played legendary venues such as The Tote, Ding Dong Lounge, The Espy and The Greyhound among many others.

Our latest EP is a three-track disc called "City Lights", which you can get at one of our gigs.

After spending the last few months writing, playing, and recording their original songs as acoustic versions through their acoustic alter ego "Jasey Rae" the guys have now assembled a full band and are ready to hit the scene with full energy!
