Choir perform for the first time since December 2009. Featuring full band and
the Apostles of Acappella.
An afternoon guaranteed to get your feet stompin, hands
clappin and your body shakin! This is Melbourne's premium gospel music
assembly, featuring a stunning 70 voice choir and full accompanying band. If
you've ever wanted to experience true gospel music, this is your ticket to get
on board!
The Choir has performed a plethora of highly acclaimed
concerts, with the huge sound of massed voices and the finest of harmonies
singing traditional, popular and cutting edge Black gospel. In 2009, they
performed along side Eric Bibb at The Palais Theatre in Melbourne.

Launching their debut single 'Turn My World Around' at Spenserslive on Friday June 18, Melbourne band Ennïs Tóla are causing a stir. Their flawless stagecraft, where progressive Middle Eastern Rock meets soaring melodies, extends
far beyond the tried-and-tested band lineup. Blending edgy and raw
guitar-driven riffs with Japanese Koto and Woodwind along with
masterful drums, bass and vocals, Ennïs Tóla is a collaboration between Tomas Fitzgerald [Guitars and Vocals], Karen Heath [Woodwinds and Japanese Koto], Chris Hitch [Bass], Thom Mann [Drums] and Ryan McRobb [Guitar and Effects]. Forging a unique sound that demands attention, Ennïs Tóla is made
up of members from The Grand Silent System, Rincon and
Mousetrapreplica, with individual players having worked with luminary
Australian musicians such as Kate Ceberano, Lior, and international
artists such as Stockhausen and members from the Icelandic Symphony
Orchestra.
The band has been working steadily recording their work, and will follow up the single launch in June with their debut album 'Seed' to be released later in the year. Constantly working, Ennïs
Tóla have not paused since the completion of their debut album, having
recorded already for their second album at Abbey Road Studios, London.
Bringing in a string trio and working with engineers Lewis Jones and
Paul Pritchard, their latest output inserts a distinct 'Masada' [John
Zorn] meets Brodsky Quartet meets Muse feel into the already heady mix
of progressive, raw music, making Ennïs Tóla one band to keep your eye on."

Bands & Artists : ZYNCARLA
meleesha writes"Zyncarla are a Melbourne based Progressive Metal trio, centered on the concept of creating a fresh and unique sound.
The band is comprised of three members; Majed Issa (Guitar, Vocals), Mark Shirreff (Bass, Vocals) and Mayar Sabzichin (Drums, Percussion), whom all have had several years of recording and live experience with such bands as; Cadence, 4inarow and Hiroshima Will Burn.
The bands influences encompass a wide range of artists and genres such as; Tom Waits, The Mars Volta, Battles, James Brown and various world music composers, much like Tan Dun. This rich mix of musical influence has shaped not only Zyncarla’s style of music but also their live performance, which on occasion includes on-stage entertainers such as; Mimes, Ballerinas and Burlesque Dancers.
