Vanderby’s new bottom end!
After
3 years and 3 albums of playing the bass on his 1959 Hammond C3 and 2
Leslies, Ray Vanderby has gone back to his blues/rock roots and 70’s
influences from Emerson Lake and Palmer, Uriah Heep, Pink Floyd, The
Doors and King Crimson and is currently working up a batch of original
songs for a 4th album to be released 2007. Ray won’t be playing bass on
the organ as he has done in the past 3 albums.
The new 7- piece line up will include a 5 string Fender bass player.
Ray Vanderby – Hammond organ/lead vocals
Gina Woods (The Mojos) – Wurlitzer piano
Geoff Brown (Gwyn Ashton)– bass
Con Patogiannis – guitar
Peter Ivosevic (The Need) – drums
Monika Ciura – backup vocals
Michelle Yacoub – backup vocals
This Sydney export has now firmly based himself in Melbourne.
Listen
to the new sound, it’s rocking hard as Vanderby’s filthy, angry organ
playing, unique beat poet style vocals are something to be heard. His
on stage antics, throwing around the 200 kilo Hammond when he gets
carried away is definitely something to be seen. Check em out!
