Booking Agencies : GoDirect Entertainment Booking
pboz writes"
The terms of the gig are negotiated between the two, and arrangements are made which satisfy both parties.
This is ideal for self-managed independent artists: • No agent’s fees - you are more competitive • Direct negotiation – you are in control of the situation • The deals you do remain private between you and your client
The
system is very cost effective. For enquirers, there is no fee for using
the service. The artist pays a small fee of $10 per lead, only if they
chose to accept the enquiry. There is no fee if the artist declines the
enquiry. There are no on-going monthly or annual fees.

Bands & Artists : Cosmic Debris - Jazz Band
vgiles writes"COSMIC DEBRIS "Jazz, improvisation and something else..."
Hailing
from the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne, Australia. This 3 to 4 piece
Jazz/Fusion outfit lends itself well to any situation where moody
atmosphere is a must. Combining original arrangements of traditional
jazz standards, improvisation and original compositions from Hawker and
Giles, Cosmic Debris is met with widespread appeal and enjoyment.
The
recordings presented herein are designed with the idea to capture the
magic of the moment, commonly found in old jazz recordings from the
20s, 30s, 40s, etc. Multi-takes are mostly unheard of, and only
occasionally will the band vary from using one or two ambient
microphones in the studio to capture the jazz feel.
Cosmic
Debris are available for hire at competitive rates for bars, taverns,
bistros, parties, functions, events (you get the idea).
A number
of the recordings feature drummer Beau Karnaghan (Supremacy) on them,
and although he is no longer with us, we appreciate and value all the
contribution he has made. Though he features as first call drummer,
should the need arise.
Simon Hawker has been
playing guitar since he was about 7 years old. Has played in a number
of bands over the years, local names include. John Hawker Big Band, The
Lounge Machine. Samples of his solo work can be found at his myspace.
Simon has been teaching guitar for over 8 years and his contribution
and experience is very welcome within Cosmic Debris.
Vincent Giles
has been playing music since he was old enough to hold an instrument.
He started with vocal work, piano and keyboard work throughout his
younger years in Primary School. Becoming attached to the bass guitar
(via a brief tenure with a regular guitar), things have escalated over
the last 8 years, and has been teaching bass guitar for the last 2
years. Previously involved with The Lounge Machine, Innate Desire,
Jebusfish, Sounds of Ellipsis and various smaller projects, his unique
approach to the bass guitar is a valuable contribution to the band.
Visit him on myspace to hear his more experimental solo work
Boris Suh
says he has been playing guitar "for too long". Starting at around the
age of 13, Boris's bluesy soulful feel, with prior involvement with The
Lounge Machine (and many other bands that I can't think of right now),
and an ex-student of Simon's. Boris contributes an incredible amount of
soulful playing to the music.
Samples of our music can be heard at our myspace page. Cosmic Debris on MySpace
And at our mp3.com.au (which has ALL the work so far recorded) Cosmic Debris on mp3.com.au
Please contact Cosmic Debris with any questions or to request a promotional package in the mail or by drop off.
Cosmic Debris Contact Information will see you to the official contact page, with phone numbers to make a booking."
