Bands & Artists : Dr Milk

jublian writes"Dr Milk, contrary to popular belief, are in no way related to Louis Pasteur or even the glorious, creamy beverage we mortals like to call “milk”. They are, in fact, just the foremost experts in the field of acronyms. Each member holds a PhD in a specific area somewhat related to acronyms.

The band was formed to raise awareness about the dwindling popularity of acronyms in modern society. But as they soon discovered, no one much cares about the death of the English language.
So they reverted to using subliminal messages to try and spread the word. In fact, if you play any of their tracks backwards at a speed of 8rpm, you will learn the history of the acronym, in all its glory.

Julian, the bass player, is a bear who can imitate several different kinds of rare bird.

Stefan, the guitarist, claims to be a professor, but no one is quite sure what of.

Dylan, the band’s singer, quirkily refuses to wear cotton, and therefore dresses only in polystyrene.

Dave, the drummer, is utterly useless, but is sometimes referred to as ‘the sexy one’.

And the elusive 5th member Etzle bares a slight resemblance to the great Vladimir Lenin but is rarely seen as he spends most of his time doing “field research” in the Pyrenees Mountains.

Fans of Dr Milk have perished in the quest to discover the meaning behind the acronym “Dr. Milk” so it seems we are doomed to forever ponder the significance behind this great, if not slightly unusual band name.

Production – Live Audio Engineers : Lex (Audible deBauchery) - 0422646150

audibledebauchery writes"I offer my service as a sound technician to musicians and venues (corporate etc) mostly in the local melbourne area but also afar if needed. I'm currently working regularly with a number of different bands with their sound and bookings to make an impact. I supply some quality mics of my own and can also record the shows for future reference. My rates are reasonable and I dig the challenge so give me a call if I can be of assistance. Cheers, Lex (Audible deBauchery) - 0422646150
