audibledebauchery writes"I offer my service as a sound technician to musicians and venues (corporate etc) mostly in the local melbourne area but also afar if needed. I'm currently working regularly with a number of different bands with their sound and bookings to make an impact. I supply some quality mics of my own and can also record the shows for future reference. My rates are reasonable and I dig the challenge so give me a call if I can be of assistance. Bands & Artists : The Heist
jnef02 writes" The Heist is a three-piece psychedelic/blues rock band from the northern suburbs of Melbourne.
The band consists of Ben Morrow on vocals and guitar, Oliver Packard on vocals and bass, and Elias Papoulias on drums.
A "rock 'n' roll milkshake" is how the band's sound is described by
drummer Elias Papoulias, and it is true on many accounts. The main
recurring sound of their music is through psychedelic roots of the 60s
and 70s (highly noted in the song Acid Trip) with subtle hints of blues
and slammin' garage rock (Shakespeare).
The Heist blend together multiple differing influences. Ben brings
forth a love of jazz, blues and traditional rock 'n' roll; through Otis
Redding and BB King. Oliver's influences cover a wide range from Jeff
Buckley to Queen. Elias brings a more modern groove, drawing influence
from bands like Primus and Regurgitator.
2007 has seen The Heist grow into a much more professional outfit, with shows at the Greyhound, The Old Bar, The Espy, and even a trip to Adelaide to add to their already impressive resume. Not to mention their self-titled debut EP, released independently.
