Tuition : Brimbank Youth Services YMCA

Brimbankyouthservices writes"Brimbank Youth Services YMCA in Melbournes west was donated 10 Gibson guitars with which to provide disadvantaged young people to become engaged in music. This program runs once a week for one hour in after school hours throughout the school terms. This is a great opportunity to gain teaching experience as well as really help young people. If you are interested in volunteering on this great program, contact Nastassia on 9364 1800 or emailing nastassia.jones@ymca.org.au"

Tuition : Guitar lessons

aman writes"Hi folks,

Whether you want to strum a few chords with some friends on the beach, jam a little or be the best damn virtuoso there is - I can help you.

My name is Aman and I study Music and Business at Monash Clayton. I live 2 minutes away from the Monash Caulfield - the lessons are conducted here at my home.

I'm 20 years old and I've been playing guitar for 8 years. I love teaching and it's a whole lotta fun for me too. Whether you are a beginner or you want to brush up your technique or just want to jam give me a call on 0415955667. The lessons are an hour and a half each session (an hour's never enough - or atleast that's what I used to feel) at $25 per session.

Alternatively, if I'm un-reachable you can also email me at amankhosla.1@gmail.com.

News : Free Email Newsletter for Jazz Jam Sessions

bede writes"Anyone interested in receiving a weekly newsletter detailing the various jam sessions for jazz musicians at The Glasshouse Hotel, Dizzy's and Harry's Ramage Bar need only send their e-mail address to margaret@venues.com.au. and in no time at all they will have to spend nearly ten minutes a week reading all about it.

The newsletter is free, informative and mostly irreverent, has reviews of previous jam sessions, and occasionally reviews of CD's and gigs as well. It sometimes contains subliminal messages which may rot your brain or encourage the reader to turn up at a jam session, or both, and gives anyone the opportunity to publicise upcoming jazz related events to a varied audience which includes jazz musicians who can (a) read and (b) own a computer.

Highly recommended!
