News : Lisa Maxwell Hypersensitive Tour

layoutlooks writes"
Music critics and multinational record company executives have requested a Victorian tour from Benalla guitarist/songwriter Lisa Maxwell. Lisa and co album producer Jamie Durrant have responded with the launch of a statewide tour titled “Hypersensitive 2004”. Starting in Lisa's home town of Benalla, the tour will showcase Lisa’s powerful stage performance and present a selection of new songs, which have caught the attention of record company A&R in Europe as well as here in Australia.

Last year the talents of Benalla’s Lisa Maxwell landed her a contract to record songs with the Arts Victoria music project, titled “The Bent Incubator Project”. Operated out of Benalla’s Studio Riverview Lodge, the project nurtured and elevated eight of Benalla’s most creative original songwriters. Although many including Sean Buckley and Richelle Boer have gone on to pursue professional careers, none have shined so brightly as much as the world-class talents of Lisa Maxwell.

Inspired by Powderfinger, P.J. Harvey, Foo Fighters and Nirvana, Lisa’s music has grown naturally into a powerful rock onslaught, which has inspired record company interest worldwide.

“I never expected to achieve so much in such a short space of time, I have just finished mixing my debut album, recorded right here in Benalla, I can’t believe the response I’m getting from sending just a handful of sample discs to the right people,” says Lisa.

Lisa Maxwell this week launches her Hypersensitive 2004 tour in her home town of Benalla with her band. Performing this Saturday night 24th of July at the Tatong Tavern and Sunday 25th of July at the North Eastern Hotel from 2pm in the afternoon.

Lisa’s tour will take her throughout regional Victoria including wine regions, the ski fields, the Great Ocean Road and Melbourne CBD. In the meantime, a free digital download of her work is available at

Lisa Maxwell’s Hypersensitive 2004 tour promises to captivate your senses and inspire people young and old. Keep a lookout for that name; Lisa Maxwell is destined for stardom. "
