News : Ray Vanderby & The Raynettes

goldfingers writes"

Press Release – Ray Vanderby and The Raynettes

Vanderby’s new bottom end!

After 3 years and 3 albums of playing the bass on his 1959 Hammond C3 and 2 Leslies, Ray Vanderby has gone back to his blues/rock roots and 70’s influences from Emerson Lake and Palmer, Uriah Heep, Pink Floyd, The Doors and King Crimson and is currently working up a batch of original songs for a 4th album to be released 2007. Ray won’t be playing bass on the organ as he has done in the past 3 albums.

The new 7- piece line up will include a 5 string Fender bass player.

Ray Vanderby – Hammond organ/lead vocals

Gina Woods (The Mojos) – Wurlitzer piano

Geoff Brown (Gwyn Ashton)– bass

Con Patogiannis – guitar

Peter Ivosevic (The Need) – drums

Monika Ciura – backup vocals

Michelle Yacoub – backup vocals

This Sydney export has now firmly based himself in Melbourne.

Listen to the new sound, it’s rocking hard as Vanderby’s filthy, angry organ playing, unique beat poet style vocals are something to be heard. His on stage antics, throwing around the 200 kilo Hammond when he gets carried away is definitely something to be seen. Check em out!

News : Synergy Blue

clutchcargo writes"

SYNERGY BLUE “ROCKS” Maldon. 16th July 2006
It was with great pleasure that the Maldon Blues Club hosted Synergy Blue for the second time this year.
Sam Salzone (Vocal and Blues Harp) is a singer and musician who fronts the band and is an artist with great style and feeling for the Blues. Chris Magira plays electrifying guitar that puts injects great energy into the group, along with the steady and driving beat of the drummer Grant Collie and the great backing of Delta Chris on the bass.
They all add up to a very powerful Blues band that had the capacity crowd on their feet and shouting for more.
Synergy Blue is a new and powerful force in the Victorian Blues Scene and thanks again to Sam and the boys for such a great Sunday afternoon.

News : Myspace and Public Revolution, GET PAID FOR YOUR MUSIC!!

founder writes"Independent artists have switched on to a winning system by joining both myspace for mass exposure and www.publicrevolution.com to earn bucks for every download. "Some of the bands have figured how to best work the system..." Stated publicrevolution.com founder Terry Church, "They grow their friends and fanbase on myspace, replace their free downloads with 30 sec previews, and direct them to www.publicrevolution.com to buy a full 192kbps CD quality version for just $0.99 (AUD)." Church stated. When asked if publicrevolution.com was a copy-cat site to myspace, Church replied "There is simply no comparison... publicrevolution.com is like myspace on steroids and we only focus on independent artists. We also have a streaming radio player, video interviews, indie ringtones... heaps more." Stated Church.
