Hi,
I'm a Bassist (50) with a mate as vocalist (60+) who has just retired as a teacher. We live in Forrest Hill and Knoxfield.
Looking at songs from the Brit invasion era and thereabouts.
Thinking of the Kinks (so many great songs, waterloo sunset, dead end st, dedicated follower of fashion, sunny afternoon etc), Who, Move, Pretty Things, Stones, Beatles, early Floyd (thinking Arnold lane and Emily) and whatever grabs us.
Start off with 1 guitarist and then will recruit drums and whotnot. This will allow you a fair chance to give input and setup the band that you want, let's us find a core guitarist and consider the merits of what/any other instruments based on modifications to song selection from your input.
Looking to play weekly. Music isn't quite as important as food/water/shelter/air, but it's not far behind Not only that, it's because we can - dependent kids and 3 jobs to pay the mortgage are behind us.
