Home Brewed Studio is based on the edge of Victoria’s Yarra Valley. We are nestled between Lilydale, Mt Evelyn and Coldstream enjoying a semi-rural setting. Home Brewed Studio is an easy 50 minute drive from Melbourne’s CBD with access via the Eastern Freeway and Maroondah Highway, plus a number of public transport options. On arrival you will be pleased by an easy load in and an abundance of free parking.

Our studio comprises of two isolated rooms. Room 1 is the large live room with a mix of slat timber paneling, high density plaster, exposed brick walls, concrete floor, glass brick and plate glass windows with great views out to the Yarra Valley. Room 2 is the very comfortable control room with a full timber slat absorbent/diffuse ceiling, floating floor, couch riser, glass brick window and full acoustic treatment. Both rooms are drenched in natural light during the day and stylishly lit with LED track lighting and lamps in the evening. There is air conditioning throughout and a fresh air recycling system. Our recording system is based around a MIDAS Venice 320-32 channel British analog console. 60 channels of ADDA conversion taken care of by Apogee, RME and Ferrofish. Pro Tools HD software runs on a Mac Pro and controlled by an Avid Mc Mix. Our monitors are Amphion One 18's, TANNOY System 800 and ADAM Sub8 speakers. We are collecting an ever-evolving stable of quality Microphones, Instruments, FX, Outboard and Software Processors.

Our productions have enjoyed airplay on national and community radio/television and have seen releases with domestic and international independent record labels.

Being based on the edge of the Yarra Valley we have any number of cafes, restaurants, wineries and craft breweries close at hand.

Home Brewed Studio is a relaxed and homely space encouraging you to be creative and focused. We want to make your next creative experience an enjoyable and memorable one whilst being conducted in a professional recording environment.
