I'm Stef, 20/m, songwriter looking to form a band around my original material. 14 years on piano/keyboard, 4 years on guitar, and singing for idunnohowlong.

Influences/bands I like: Muse, Silverchair (Diorama onwards), Mew, The Dissociatives, Elliott Smith, Placebo, Coldplay, The Mars Volta, MGMT, Keane, The Feeling, Animal Collective, Battles, Metric, Brian Wilson/Beach Boys, Foo Fighters, The Presets, Joanna Newsom, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bloc Party, Electric Light Orchestra, Radiohead, James Blunt, Zachery Quinn, Whitley, Evermore, The Killers, Vampire Weekend, ABBA, Thirsty Merc, The Beatles, Yes, Pink Floyd, Frank Zappa...
Style is: New Progressive / Alternative Rock / Indie & Pop elements ... ambitious & experimental, but still accessible enough ... varies a lot from crafting to hammering and everything inbetween.

I live in Brunswick West (inner north, near Essendon/Coburg). I haven't got a car so local would be better, but if it's worth it then distance is no barrier. Rehearse at least weekly. I've got great gear and I've had stage experience. I'm passionate, committed, and serious about music, and need to find some like-minded people to do it with. Most importantly, I've written a huge stack of good songs... I've been songwriting for 12 years, my arrangements can be pretty advanced, elaborate chord structures and time signatures... but it's really band music, I can't do it alone.
