Our Queens of the Stone Age Tribute Band is seeking the permanent services of a versatile guitarist & vocalist to complete a 4-piece group made up of:
• Guitar / Vocal / Keys
• Guitar / Vocal (vacant role)
• Bass / Guitar
• Drums & Percussion
All current members are part of seasoned bands, therefore it would be preferred that the successful candidate would have pre-existing experience with live performances, particularly in the cover band/ tribute scene.
We are relaxed by nature, without ego, and do not have the expectation that all songs be replicated note-for-note (as this takes away from the ingenuity of the player) so an energetic and organic performance is always expected from our members whilst honouring the essence of the original songs being played.
The current set covers the entire QOTSA discography from the self-titled debut album through to Villains, so we would love to have someone on board who appreciates the whole journey as much as we do!
The successful candidate will be required to undertake both rhythm and lead guitar roles throughout the set. Vocal ability is mandatory, but does not necessarily need to be as a lead vocalist.
Rehearsals currently take place in the inner-north and inner-west of Melbourne, however can be negotiated based on the locale of band members as a whole.
Age & gender are not considered to be inhibiting factors, provided you have the experience, equipment, and capability to perform as required.
Expansion into other Josh Homme related bands are very much on the cards for live performances as well (Kyuss, Them Crooked Vultures, Eagles of Death Metal in particular)
Please contact / text Expressions of Interest to 0475 572 692 by Monday 22nd March. Candidates will be shortlisted and notified by Friday 26th March, with audition details to follow. It is anticipated that auditions will take place during the weekend following Easter.
Thankyou for reading this far and we look forward to hearing from you! |
