I'm currently writing a blog post about Melbourne Rock bands that are must see top picks in my humble opinion. Smile

I would love to hear what other people have to say about this topic!

Who are some of your top picks for Melbourne Rock bands?

I used to be the drummer for Gretchen Lewis and so long as they haven't drastically changed their style since I left (which was about 6 years ago), they should still be a formidable force on the circuit.

I would've said Redcoats before they went inactive, now I'd say F*ck the Fitzroy Doom Scene or Clowns.

I can't believe there aren't more responses on this thread.

'The Higgs' do a fantastic show.. saw them about a month ago. Really tight and solid band.

'Grandhour' produced a solid album last year. Looking forward to seeing them live some time.

Horace Bones are one of my favourites at the moment.

Most likley because we all gave up on Melband about 8 years ago, created new accounts to sell shit and Stayed away from these forums, anyhow back on topic.
I'll say Electric Mary would top my list, first seen them in 2005 as a roady and for all the bands that were smashing gigs back then they were one of the best that are still playing.
